Thank you for coming with me so far! Watch my short message or read it below~
Two months ago, I opened the virtual doors of Shrine of the Real ~ an audio blog I think of as a restorative roadside rest-stop. Instead of a physical place, this is a traveling chapel, one that can come to you wherever you find yourself.
The walls of this little sanctuary are made of sound, the roof is constructed from voice. You can always leave the busy thoroughfare of your email inbox and enter through a door that leads to a quieter place.
Inside, you’re meant to find offerings and altars to the Real, reminders that there is an alternative to all the artificial accumulating around us. I also hope you find an un-demanding hush along with the bits of song and story, a simple hospitality to welcome you back to your real self, and maybe re-calibrate you toward your real work in the world.
I knew I needed this when I started out. It has been heartening to discover that many of you have resonated, maybe even needed it, too. Thank you so much for coming with me so far!
Some of you have told me that you haven’t been able to “catch up” on posts. Don’t fret, there’s no more to “catch up” with at Shrine of the Real than you can “catch up” with the waves on a beach or the clouds in the sky!
But if it’s helpful, and if you have some time to listen, here at the end of the year is a gathering of the first two months of Shrine of the Real. Always, just take what you like, whatever serves you, and leave the rest.
Thanks again for coming with me so far. See you in the new year!
So far, on Shrine of the Real…

A story about that “what-in-blue-blazes-just-happened” feeling

Look forward to the New Year
